Saturday School

3rd - 5th Grade -Register Here

UCA’s 3rd – 5th grade Saturday School is designed to provide extra Math and Reading instruction. This is different from tutoring — we will teach skills in reading comprehension and math problem-solving and working with numbers. Our program emphasizes building strong foundational skills while also providing opportunities for advanced students to deepen their understanding.

Students will be placed based on their academic needs. Whether a student requires more instruction or academic challenge, our Saturday School Program offers targeted instruction and enrichment to increase students’ confidence and knowledge.

Two simultaneous learning tracks:

  • Foundations Track for those whoneed extra help
  • Advanced Track for students seeking enrichment and challenge.

The program runs 6 weeks, 18 hours in total.

Each session is 3 hours.

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Currently enrolled UCA Students – $120

Non-UCA students – $180

 

6th -7h Grade -Register Here
UCA’s 6th and 7th grade Saturday School program is focused on math and reading support outside the regular school day. Unlike our after-school tutoring program, our Saturday provides opportunities that build problem-solving and critical-thinking skills that strengthen overall academic performance.
This extra academic instruction is especially important as students prepare for high school. Chicago Public Schools look at both the high school exam in 8th-grade and 7th-grade grades, so it’s crucial that 7th graders finish the school year strong. For 6th graders, Saturday School helps address skill gaps early and build a strong foundation for future success.
Our teachers are guided by the skills valued in the high school admissions process and by the academic trends we see during after-school tutoring.
 
The program runs 8 weeks, 24 hours in total.
Each session is 3 hours. 
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 
 Currently enrolled UCA Students – $240 
Non-UCA students – $320

Individual & Group Tutoring

Urban Christian Academy is proud to offer both individual one-on-one tutoring and group sessions to help students thrive. Whether your child needs personalized attention or benefits from collaborative learning, our tutoring program is designed to address specific academic needs in math, reading, and writing.

High School Test Prep Classes

Urban Christian Academy will be offering a High School Test Prep Class designed to help students succeed in their upcoming exams. Beginning in September, students will attend 3–4 Saturday sessions held in person at UCA.

This class is a valuable opportunity for students to build confidence, sharpen academic skills, and strengthen test-taking strategies—all in a supportive and focused environment.

What’s Included:

  • Simulated timed practice tests

  • Light snacks

 

Cost for classes:

  • Non UCA Students $50/day
  • Currently enrolled UCA students: Flat rate $45
