The Countdown to the End of the School Year has Begun!

This month we started our countdown for the end of the school year! We have seen our students work incredibly hard to achieve their academic goals. We are so proud of them and all they are accomplishing. In the picture below are two of our fourth graders who got 100% on their mad minutes after a semester of studying multiplication facts. Our hardworking fourth graders received UCA cash as a reward for their success in the mad minute.

Our 5th through 8th graders have been working hard as well. Hannah Manalili, our 5th-8th grade Teacher notes, “It’s very easy to be less motivated to do school work since the year is ending, but many of our students, especially our 7th graders, are still working hard! The 7th graders in particular have been very diligent to tell us (UCA Teachers/Tutors) when they have tests, so they can study for them. In addition, it’s been nice to see the students enjoy playing basketball and volleyball together in teams. It has been awesome to see the students feel excited and proud of themselves when they have a good spike or make a basket. They are also very good at encouraging each other and cheering one another on.”
